When I was 14 or so I wrote an awful What if? story which had Sabretooth becoming the Herald of Galactus.

Gosh, I still have my old comics from when I was in elementary school, they were never that detailed when I started. Four pages, hero hanging out, enter bad guy, each punch each other, hero wins. Boy I could crank out these comics :-p

Matt, I have no idea what ever happened to that story. It was at least 15 years ago, and I've moved several times since then.
Even more than that silly story, I wish I still had all the Spider-Man comics I drew when I was 8 or 9.

My What If would be "What If Storm Had Been A Member of the Original X-Men?" I have no story ideas, but I picture Warren Worthington finding true love.

I really enjoyed What Ifs...
Off the top of my head: What if Jack Murdock became Daredevil?
Matt gets killed instead of his dad. The Fixer reckons killing the son will make Jack see things his way... boy are they wrong!

my story would be what if all of the mutants had to go to a planet
where there was nothing but the dinosaurs there and the king of the
dinosaurs ruled them all. his name would be johnasaurous rex and he
could eat all of his enemies. the mutants like the xmen would go there
in there space ship and when they land it could be a fight with the
king of the dinosaurs. he would eat them and crunch! then it would be
that galactus came and he would want to be king of the planet and they
would fight. the man with the tiger would come to help the dinosaur and
you think galactus might win but then you can see that jonasaurous rex
had robots on his side! all of the robots can fight for him and a
golden bear to and it would be a great battle for everyone! well in the
end the king opf the dinosaurs has won this battle and can see another
day. this is a great story!

A long time ago I came up with a possible "What If?" idea -
- What If: Captain America, with his stranger-in-a-strange-time depression at an all-time high, coupled with his sense of duty and deep-rooted desire to preserve human life, selflessly volunteered to become the herald of Galactus? I had the idea of Galactus somehow re-shaping Cap's shield into a surfboard, as Cap's sentimental attachment would not allow him to abandon it.
I never got around to developing my idea into an actual story, let alone a script. Maybe it's just as well...
