Which I would have been happy to give you. Unfortunately, DC double-crossed me.
Ah, well. Bygones…
++++++++++++
I know -- I know, I wasn't blaming you. But then to have Superboy Prime show up as an evil, twisted version of my favorite character -- maybe I should be happy DC can no longer use the name. . .

I have no idea what that means.
At least, I hope I have no idea what that means.
Like Bill said, it comes from a website whihc uses silver and golden age covers out of context to make superman look like an asshole for comedic effect.
I was just thinking that as in love with him as lana was, for him to show her everything, and then leave, could be seen as unconcsious cruelty.(whihc you covered yourself if Im not mistaken.) I just remember reading that scene, loving it, and then after thinking of how it must feel from her perspectivce saying, "what a prick".
Basically I was making on off hand joke. Nothing more.

Marvel could make a young Skrull with all of the Super-Skrull's powers and call him Super-Boy. If they got the Seigel and Shuster estates to license them the name, it might stand up in court. It would at least be funny.

******************************* That's what makes it perfect. I mean, he was a teenager. I would imagine that if any of us men could go back and feel some of our interactions with girls from that period in our lives from their perspectives, you'd get a similar reaction.

Well, it's not so complicated really.

And make sure your lawyers file on time.

I wonder if Marvel could send DC and cease and desist over calling him just Prime, since last time I checked Marvel owned all the old Malibu Ultraverse characters, including the character Prime.

Couldn't the Legion just adopt him into their ranks and call him Super Lad--where it is explained that they name him...not himself or bystanders from Smallville. Even Krypton Kid......
If you wanted to do the youth thing.

You know, this might be the moment when JB contacts S+S and asks for permission to use Superboy in a comics series...could that happen?

I think that DC don't want a now-villain to be related to Superman....

You know, I posted superboyscout as a joke, but the more I think about the idea, (and the history of the boy scouts, very superhero like myth to it) I find the idea of a young clark kent saving people in the heartland while wearing a boy scout unifrom as a disguise pretty cool. I mean given the area its likely he would have been one right? And at least it would give an in cannon reason why all his old friends refer to him as the boy scout.
He sould even wear the S as a Pin or a merit badge.
