The John/Sal team-ups that I found -
Captain America #114 (June, 1969) Conan #25 (April, 1973) Fantastic Four #297-302 (December, 1986-May, 1987) Silver Surfer #4-7 (February, 1969-August, 1969) Thor #193-194 (November 1971-December, 1971), 217 (November, 1973)
And as mentioned, Silver Surfer #4 might be one of the most beautifuly-illustrated comics ever -

Apparently, Sal was John's favorite inker. Most faithful to the pencils, he
stated.

I love it when Big John Buscema inks his own work.

Have I mentioned lately that John Buscema is most likely my favorite artist ever? He could just draw...anything! I mean, I really challenge you to find anything he didn't draw well!

"Other than on the Stan Lee book, I wasn't aware Buscema did any work for DC. Now if we can just get Kubert and Garcia-Lopez over on a couple of Marvel titles... "
Didn't Joe do a Hulk or two with one of his sons?

Check out FF Annual #11. I loved John Buscema's 70's period in his art. It's just so ... good. This annual is a good example. Any wonder this is my favorite comic book ... ever?

Joe Kubert did a great run on the Punisher (and some Hulk stuff). I've seen the Punisher stuff collected in a tpb.

John Buscema on Superman seemed so natural a choice that it still amazes me that no one ever managed to talk him into it.
Ditto for JLG Lopez on X-Men

Both of them hated Superheroes. All that dynamism we loved on Conan might have looked great on Superman or Green Lantern but John would have pulled his eyes out before doing it.
Likewise Garcia-Lopez really wanted to do westerns and such. He apparantly had a deal, unsopken or otherwise, which gave him one western for every three Super-books and you can really see he put much more effort into the westerns than the Superheroes.
But yeah G-L on X-men or Avengers, Cap, THOR would have been astonishing. He's forgotten more about drawing than most of us ever learned...
