As Vinny said, Mr. Byrne innovated with AF. Great cover.

There are a lot of hinted-at early adventures I'd love to see chronicled by JB.  The Brass Bishop affair, especially.  And not the guy that showed up later in the series.  Yech.

JB, you handled Sue and Namor's relationship so well.  Slightly flirtatious, but respectful.

I've always felt bad for Dan Smallwood.  He never stood a chance with Marrina once she was discovered by the outside world, especially once Namor met her.

From late in Roger Stern's run on Avengers.  Thanks to Andrew Farago for the scan.

Is that Cathy Guisewite in the background?

The Brass Bishop affair should stay shrouded in mystery forever!

According to Roger, over on IMWAN, this was a dangling plotline that never went past this little bit.

"I must get away from Aurora"  -LOL

This issue's too awesome. I think it's my favorite pacing wise.

I adore the Namor JB drew here.

Very faithful to Bill Everett´s!

I have always loved that turn-around shot of Jeanne-Marie decking Walter.

And that shot of Sue coming out of the water, holding it back with an
invisible shield, is great. One of the times where we can see the effect of the
invisible shield without seeing the little dotted lines or white area inside
invisible area (as in the next panel). Nice touch.

My name is in the list of the 200 people who sent letters in for Alpha Flight #1... The first time I had my name printed in a comicbook
