That looks kind of like Liefeld's Thing-type character.

So, there are 4 X-Men books?!

Astonishing X-Men
Team Leader: Cyclops, Emma Frost
Team Members: Armor, Beast, Colossus, Lockheed, Kitty Pryde, Wolverine

Uncanny X-Men
Team Leader: Professor X
Team Members: Darwin, Hepzibah, Nightcrawler, Storm, Warpath

"Adjectiveless" X-Men
Team Leader: Rogue
Team Members: Cannonball, Iceman

New X-Men (Trainee team)
Team Leader: Surge
Team Members: Dust, Hellion, Mercury, Prodigy, Rockslide, X-23

That last one is presumably the one in the pic Michael posted, though I can only identify X-23 and Rockslide.  Can't say which name is dumber.  And there are guys named "Darwin" and "Armor?"  Seriously?

What happened to X-Men is that I stopped to read that comic 20 years ago.

The X-Men are victims of themselves. I always (and with "always" I mean "since the mid '90s", i.e. when I first learned about their existence) wondered how someone could follow all those convoluted, complicated comic books. Yep, they had cool artworks, but that wasn't a good reason, for me.

And now, it's even worse than before. Over 30 years later, the writers are only able to write stories about the Phoenix. And then the tragic future from "Days of future past", stories about Magneto's conversion to the good side (and then, of course, to the bad side again). Dozens of characters, an impenetrable continuity, stories based on 20/30 years old comics. I don't want to TOUCH an X-Men book, either. I followed UNCANNY with the return of Chris Claremont, but I dropped it when the run ended. No more X-Men, for me.

She came back with most of the team after Brubaker's year-long Rise and Fall of Shi'Ar storyline, with Havok and Polaris staying with the rest of the Starjammers (except for Corsair, who was killed).  In my humble opinion, Astonishing X-Men is largely overrated and Brubaker is mnot nearly as good as he is with Cap and Daredevil.  The self-titled X-Men is the best of them I think, though right now the Messiah Complex storyline is mixing together everyone.
