I am glad that Aurora and Northstar are still alive in the current Marvel Universe.... AND that they are still wearing those original outfits.

George, they aren't elves. After JB left, a later writer tried hinting that Northstar had AIDS, but then the next writer explained that he wasn't a homosexual with an STD, but a Fairy who was sick because he had been away too long from his magical fairyland. That was then explained as a plot by Loki. Because hey, what isn't made better with Loki?
THEN they outted him in a rather ridiculous manner.

Maybe he was manipulated by the Shadow King all along. Claremont can't seem to help keep resuscitating that character at awkward moments.
Come to think of it, I do not recall whether Claremont has ever subsequently written Alpha Flight.
Hmm, JB - did you have a Claremont Stay Away clause agreement with Marvel with your Alpha Flight after you left?

Partly correct...The writer (for both the A.I.D.S. idea and the elf idea) was Bill Mantlo, he wanted to write Northstar as having the deadly STD, but was told not to by editorial staff, so he changed the story to make the twins elves. A later writer revealed they were just tricked by Loki into thinking they were elves. They never gave another explanation as to why he was getting ill, though.

( I thought all Alpha Flight has been killed recently...I have to saty that I didn't read the book, so I don't w if they were a part of the team !).

Didier...Most of the original Alpha Flight has indeed been killed off...Mac (again), Heather, Puck and Shaman. The twins (and Snowbird) were not with the team when they died. Although, both Snowbird and Northstar were killed and resurrected at various points in time. Heather killed Snowbird during Bill mantlo's run of Alpha Flight and Northstar was killed by Wolverine (who was brain-washed by the Hand) and resurrected and brainwashed by the Hand himself (to be used as an assassin)...After killing numerous people, Jean Paul was freed of his mental conditioning by a S.H.I.E.L.D. device (Aurora was also "cured" of her mental problems)...Both he and Aurora went off to who-knows-where.
So yeah, they're both alive...They've just gone through a lot of bad storylines.
