Stunning. Spider-Man especially looks like he's literally leaping off the page.

This is just amazing! I've always loved Hyde especially since his days with the Masters of Evil when they took over The Avenger's Mansion.
Gods I love the rubble! Don't get me wrong...everything about JB's renderings are perfect and I love all of the characters but for as long as I can remember one of the main personal draws to JB's work was his backgrounds and "props" for lack of a better word. I feel like when I'm looking at something JB has drawn that I could actually walk around in that world. The chunks of asphalt *look* heavy, the buildings look like you could walk in the front door and it would be a real space.
For me a good comic is not just about getting the characters right but also the world they live in and no one I've ever seen can match JB on this.
Thanks for sharing with us!

I've always liked the way JB does buildings/cityscapes, demolished or not!

It's a wonder how any buildings go up in New York, so many construction sites get totalled by superhero battles.

Not to put down Mr. Hyde, but he is just begging to be replaced with the Hulk...
What a great scene!

When Jim Warden forwarded me the description for this one, I thought
What can I do with Mr. Hyde? So I looked him up in OHOTMU, and
discovered he is "Class 50" in strength -- which suddenly made for a more
interesting battle scene!

So we can see the image closer to actual size.

There is a very nice, fluid (for want of a better term) quality to your depiction of Spider-Man in this piece JB. I especially like the heavy outlines around his head and shoulders. I know the idea is to make him "pop", but I've always felt that a strong outline along the red parts of Spidey's costume tend to make him look more "solid" in general, as he is a character with a lot of competing visual detail.
