I notice that in the late 1990s, when computers were starting to be more commonly used to layout covers, the artists's signatures were more often than not covered up by cover copy. There would be a part of the signature peeking around the copy at times, which is how I was aware it was happening.

Philippe, you may be thinking of a costume/power change Superman was inflicted with when he had electrical powers. Don't ask :)
The Superman here is from the Justice League cartoon episode, where alternate versions arrive from a different dimension.

••
You may recall that on HIDDEN YEARS I not only signed the covers, but
included the "real" issue number (starting with 67 on the first issue) mixed
into the art somewhere. After some truly outrageous cover copy placement
that managed to obscure not only my signature bullet, but also these little
numbers, I began to suspect it was more than accidental, and toward the
end of the series started placing the cover titles myself.

That's probably a stylized Mars on MM's chest.
Thanks Gil !

Wow. I really, really like this. I hate the design in the cartoon, but JB makes
it sing here. That, and she's pretty cute, in a I'm-gonna-kick-your-ass sort
of way!

I love it!
I was looking forward to seeing how JB would translate the animated style.
This is the only Justice Lord commission I have planned though. However now that it's been done, maybe someone else on the board will be inspired to get one of the whole team.
Maybe fighting the Avengers? Or Galactus?

I think I liked the WW Justice Lord so much because of the Wonder Girl vibe. I think Wonder Girl's red outfit may be my favorite WWesque costume ever.
