Hi,
I'm the lucky person who commissioned Mr. Byrne to do this piece. I recieved the notification a few days ago that it was ready to mail out, and that's when I became aware of this board! There were so many great comments I thought I would post some replies.
I am a BIG fan of Mr. Byrne's work on Generations. I think the stories are STRONGER when Batman & Superman are friends, even when they don't always agree with one another. What I had asked for was a scene at the end of a JSA meeting, when everone was going off to their next adventure, but they were obviously excited and happy to be doing so. Mr. Byrne NAILED that feel in this piece. I love what he did with the Flash (entirely his idea), as the gentleman who beats all the other gentlemen present to get the door for Wonder Woman.
I did ask for this version of WW's costume. I just prefer this design. Some will argue it doesn't belong in the same drawing as Superman & Batman. Oh well, I like it! :)
Again, thanks for all the comments. Mr, Byrne, thank you for doing such an outstanding job, and for throwing in the extra Flash! I can't wait to see the original in person.
