Kinda skimpin' on the background, ain't'cha, chief?  Just kiddin', of course!  Your attention to detail and mastery of textures, as always, amazes me.

This one has just edged out the "rooftop dinner" commission from last year as my favorite of all (that is, until I save up enough to order my OWN commission* -- there, I've said it, in print, so I'm committed -- I can't take it back!  You're ALL witnesses!).

*Or talk my wife into ordering one FOR me.

Beautiful commission. Love the inkwork!

And also the look on Dr.Doom's "face" is just perfect.

JB -

Wonderful commission !  I echo all the praise that has already been posted.

2 questions:

#1. Regarding Cynthia Von Doom's jewelry, have you read this one-shot by Dwayne McDuffie?  It's a lot of fun and I think you would enjoy it !

#2. Regarding Doom's origin and history at Marvel, he's mostly been portrayed with emphasis on either his scientific genius or his sorcerous powers.  As an example: a brief scan of my memory reveals that your portrayal of him in the 80's focused primarily on Doom's scientific genius.  Am I correct?  Your excellent FF #258 alludes to Doom's interest in Dr. Strange, but that is the only reference involving sorcery I can recall.  So, do you predominantly view Doom's character as scientific?  Or was their a time when you wanted to invest more thought in writing Doom with sorcerous powers?  How would you go about merging these two sides to Doom's persona as originally set forth by Lee/Kirby?
