Since I didn't see any Jim Lee-ness until someone brought it up, I'm figuring the latter. If someone showed that drawing to Lee, I suspect he'd say that it was pure Byrne.

The Punisher to me will ever and always be a Spider-Man villain.
Which rather limits my potential associations with the character!
