This is a great series. Pure fun. The story art..everything clicked.
Good, descriptive personalities and characterization and good build up to
make you want to pick up the following issue.
Also it is good that it's not a drawn out soap opera like some books I
have seen.
Not much to say, except that I really like it. As long as Wayne keeps
doing it he should only get better.
Really good stuff!

I liked it Wayne. JB's art was pretty damn good, and the story was fun to follow. the last page was great, Never the end. I'm going to pick up the TPB for a friend of mine, but I may have to make it two so I can have one.

Wayne, I enjoyed this series overall. I looked forward to each issue coming out, which is always a good sign for me as a reader.
As for FX #6, I would have liked a little more about FX's normal life in the last issue. Apart from the hostages and the epilogue on the last page, most of the issue was dedicated to the battle action continued from issue #5. Now, I thought that action was great fun (as only JB can draw it), but I would have liked a little bit more up about FX's parents and other classmates. Still, I do understand that there will be a follow up mini-series and that you will no doubt pick up there some of the threads left hanging.

It was an entertaining little series. It sort of gives me a feel like the old teen superhero comics, albeit with a strong dose of ancient mythology and fantasy mixed in. It will be interesting to see where you lead the characters in the next mini.
Of course, I did find JB to be the main attraction, but you're getting off to a good start if you have a second series planned. Overall, I think the tone is a lighter one long missing from mainstream comics. Not all stars and hearts and flowers, mind you. At least I didn't get an overdose of the "dark and gritty" which seems to pervade superhero comics elsewhere these days.

I love this series but my question is to the business side of things-
-this project started as a single full issue commision that morphed into a 6 issue series. Wayne obviously fronted the first issue money but has sales been successful enough to carry it through the 6 and/or make a profit?
Shortform, is Wayne paying or getting paid to do this now?

It was fun, I enjoyed it. I would've liked a bigger rogue's gallery though. It seemed kind of thin. They either fought monsters or mind controlled people. But those are nitpicks. It was fun being able to read some super hero title that's not all gloom and doom and it all came out in a timely manner. I wouldn't mind buying more.

Wayne, i won't get to read #6 for another month. I get my books shipped once a month from NC to AZ. I've read 1-5 atleast twice apiece. Your book is actually the one i look most forward to each month. I love the ol' skool feel to it. Can't wait till the second series!

I loved the mini, Wayne. Issue 6 felt a little rushed in terms of the pacing at the end, and I would have liked more recap from previous issues, but all in all, this was a great comic, better than a large percentage of the comics out there these days. You have much to be proud of.
If it's not something you mind answering (and feel free to tell me it's none of my business), were you able to recoup your costs on the comic?
