Henry - "normal life"? Bah, that's boring. Who needs a normal life when
you have super-powers? But, no, I see what you mean and I'll try to work
in some more personal stuff and flesh out Tom's life as the series
progresses. I like those moments too.

Robin - I paid for all the creative costs for the whole series. I only got my
first royalty check last month, in fact. It was a nice check but also a long
way from paying back my costs. But I didn't do it for the payback
anyway. Not that I would complain if I made back all my money and more
- here's hoping! But I'm still paying for the series and am happy to do so.

Martin - I'm working on that Rogues gallery. Give me a little while. You'll
see Melvin again as Madcap and there's a new villain or two coming up.

Jason - not recouped my costs yet but I hope to.........c'mon trade
paperback.

And thanks to all of you for the kind words. I'm glad you liked it.

Wayne and JB,
Thought FX was a really fun mini with a Silver Age vibe to it-- the heroes are heroes, the villains are villains and there are even innocent bystanders to protect! What a concept! :)
Anyway, I liked the other heroes introduced during the run-- they have enough potential themselves to spin off into team books-- and hope we'll delve a bit deeper into the mystery behind FX's origin and where the other superfolk came from.
It'd be great if JB would come back to keep the book rolling...

all best,
Drew

The end of the book felt a little rushed, but it was still a fun read, and I look
forward to the next FX mini... where I hope to see lots more of the
Foundation!

Wallace - I can see that. In fact, I worried about that a little bit. That issue
should have been over-sized but in all honesty, I was running out of dough
for the FX project. So I had to keep it at 24........I would have loved to have
been able to go longer but it was not possible.

I'll probably buy the trade and give away my individual issues.

Looks like the FX TPB is already listed as a pre-order on Amazon.com:

Q4Wayne:  Speaking of Amazon.com, have you considered the possiblilty of producing the FX mini as a limited-animation electronic release, compatible with handheld electronic devices?  This is currently being done for INVINCIBLE (see the MTV thread), and the "episodes"/issues are available via Amazon.com:

I've played around quite a bit with the Blade Visual Novel Engine, which seems tailor-made for this type of thing:

If you'd be interested in seeing a sample of what it might look like, I'd be willing to scan some pages from the first issue of FX and put together a little demo for you.
