I hope the crowd is good this year. Moving it up almost two months might help, then again if you don't get the word out enough.... There hasn't even been an ad in Wizard, which say what you will, is still a force to be reckoned with, and a pretty basic necessity for a con promotion. I have my fingers crossed for you, James. I think there's an OSU game in town that saturday, as well.

Dave just scared me....but I checked and the Buckeyes will be in Wisconsin that Saturday.  That should make down town Columbus a bit more....comfortable.

Joe, I just received my MOC tickets in the mail.....

Actually, we just received a really large box of tickets from the printer, so we'll start mailing them out pronto.

As for our choice of weekends, we deliberately picked a weekend that didn't have an OSU home game.

Not sure what happened with Wizard. We've been in every issue for the past three months and somehow dropped out of this one.

We've been promoting the show aggressively with direct mail and flyers as well as print, web, and radio advertising, so I'm confident that the word is out about the show.

Good to know, James. I thought I'd looked through the con listings for the last several issues and didn't see it listed, but maybe it was the same issues with different covers or something. Did you get stand alone ads in Wizard or just put it in the regular convention listings?

In case it wasn't clear, you can officially count me in for Saturday night dinner.

It looks like Steve Rude and Marv Wolfman were also taken off of the guest list.

I'm afraid that I cannot commit to dinner.  It's difficult to predict what kind of mood a 2 1/2 year old will be in after a day at a con.  We might get a separate table and pop over and say hi!

Yeah, it's hard for me to commit to meeting you guys as well. I never know
just how tired I am after these things. Plus, I'm never sure if the wife needs
me to come home- the only drawback of a local show...

Should be a fun weekend! Very strange that it's 2 weeks from now!

Nine days away now.  Still no tickets and no panel schedule posted at the site...unless I'm missing it somehow.  I guess I'll wait until next week to get too nervous about the tickets.

So far it sounds like just Paul, Dave P. and I for dinner Saturday.  Paul and I have agreed to laminate our Byrne commissions for use as place mats at the restaurant.

If anyone is looking for Paul at the con, remember he looks just like his avatar.

Joe, your tickets went into the mail on Monday, so they should be arriving today or tomorrow.  Can you let me know?  Thanks.
