It is difficult to imagine something as "big" as the Skull gaining possession of the Cosmic Cube being allowed, today, to be anything less than a year long crossover.

Which is why the "Sinestro Corps War" was such a pleasant surprise.  It was not a multi-book crossover.  It took place between the two Green Lantern books (and truthfully you could have read only one of the two and you'd have been satisfied) and was just a great old fashioned self-contained story.  Looking at just the "core books" it was probably only a three or four issue (per title) event.  It was a story that seemed to slip past DC Editorial which didn't realize until the story was almost over that it could have been a great "crossover event."  But I suspect it was great because it was not line wide event.  Its why I am nerveous about what "Blackest Night" is evolving into now that it has been designated a "crossover event."

It's kind of strange to see a sentence griping that Nazi's are being degraded! (I know that's not how you meant it, btw... that you were using degrade in the sense of scaled down, rather than brought into low esteem).

As for this commission: the eyes have it! Much like with Dr Doom, all the evil and madness is conveyed in the burning eyes. And, boy, this Red Skull looks pretty mad and evil; like he's entranced by the power of the cube.

Good depiction of an SS uniform, and that cube fairly glows with its cosmic power. Nice (and difficult) foreshortening.

Are you transitioning away from monsters and to other characters? I know your collection is themed but themes change, sometimes because of a lack of characters.

Ari, hopefully my next JB commission will be alittle BIGGER. This of course after another trip to the Middle East. My dream JB commission has about 12 characters, so it will be awhile!
