Paul is the artist for the upcoming X-Men Forever 6 & 10. Inks by Terry Austin.

I thought he had a modern masters. Pity. Those interviews are usually
very good.

I loved The Golden Age! That and Leave It To Chance are some of my favorite work of his.

I love Paul Smith.

And everything I read on this board from a certain Messianic-named
Montrealer just makes me shake my head.

That, and I love Paul Smith.

Paul Smith is an amazing talent. Slower than Christmas, but an amazing talent. He's the guy who first got me into Uncanny X-Men (yeah, I know, I know...that Byrne fellow had a pretty good run, too. Believe me, I quickly caught up!)

Recently, Smith worked on The Spirit with Mark Evanier, which I found to be a very entertaining book. It was loyal to what Will Eisner created and each issue generally was a fully self-contained story. And it goes without saying that Smith's art was eye-popping good.

@Troy Nunis - Yes! I loved his Nexus fill-ins. Especially Nexus #44, the Kreed issue!

Oh! And welcome Moose Baumann. Love you're coloring work!

His X-Factor run was inked by Al Milgrom, if I remember correctly, and it was not a good match-up. Which I found surprising, considering I think Milgrom is a great inker. His lines were way too thick over Smith on that project, though.

I thought Bob Wiacek and Terry Austin were good matches for Paul Smith as inkers.

It's interesting to compare the Doctor Strange work that Paul inked and the issues Terry Austin inked.  Smith used a much thinner line, and many more of them.  Austin inked over breakdowns I believe, and it's much claener and a more economic line.  Both look great, though.

Peter Svensson:
Glad to hear it Moose! Are you the ongoing colorist? (Given that the title seems to be playing musical chairs with pencillers, it's worth asking.)

Nope, just filling in for now. It's been nice working for someone you don't have to sue to get paid.

I'm currently finishing coloring the last few pages of
X-Men Forever #6. Paul's work is really beautiful, and
Terry Austin's inks are fantastic! This gig is the most fun
I've had in a long time!

Sounds good, glad to hear you're having fun on it. Who's
the secret new team member? ;) (I had to try)
