JB: I saw often people say that Tom Grummett is a fan of your art.

And i certainly can see your influence in his art. Not the only influence, but certainly one of them.

And obviously on some pics and pages more than on others.

I relly like Tom Grummett's work, but I'm just not feeling it.

I'm sure it's just me, and I think that the problem could be that it's been so long since I've cared for the X-Men that I just can't seem to get past my apathy for this franchise.
I really want this to succeed on principle alone.

The fact that Marble has even slightly admitted that a RESET is a viable idea shows that they knida know that they've been running the wrong way. Or in circles as the case may be!

Maybe, if this book sells well enough to be made a regular series, they can call it - wait for it - THE PENULTIMATE X-MEN?  Y'know -- with three Christs in it (the fat one balancing the two skinny ones)?

Seriously, the best idea this could give M****l (and DC, if they're paying attention) would be to hire more solid, dependable, proven "old-timers", as opposed to all these hot young turds -- excuse me, turks -- to create books in this vein.

Y'all gotcha ears on out there?

Wanna know my problem with X-Men in general?

So there were the original 5 X-Men, that was an "era". Then there was the All
New All Different X-Men, and that was a new "era". Then there was the Jim
Lee/FOX Cartoon era (which is when I started) but then somewhere in the
late 90's, things flew off the handle and suddenly ever since, there's been a
new "era" of X-Men, with a random batting order and new costumes and new
writer intent damn near every frigging year.

I thought it was kinda neat that there was an "X-Men" for every generation,
but ever since about 1998, it's been a total mess.
