I mean second in terms of Logan's Japanese
romances. +++
I read a story the other day about how Wolverine had his first time with a Japanese peasant girl around the time of the Hiroshima bombing.

Mariko is still the iconic lost love...but a guy's gotta move on.
••
So this "Daken" was born after Logan's romance with Mariko?
Are the X-Men running in real time, now?

Is there anyone outside of Marvel that actually has the slightest interest in Daken? I pretty much drop any book once he starts to appear.
It's almost like they said 'OK, people are complaining there is too much Wolverine. Let's create a copy (Daken) and spawn him into everything.' Except, who cares?
Wolverine used to be unique, mysterious and an interesting character. I find none of that with him now. A real tragedy.

No, it had to be before, he's in his twenties.

Wolverine has a daughter in the Spider-Girl universe. Of course, since the theme of that world is somewhat "nest generation of heroes" it would be the one place where it makes sense for him to have progeny.
As for the rest...somehow...someway...they have to stop!

"Daken." Can't help but be reminded of the 80s metal band Dokken, and all the cheesiness that implies.

Not to worry; shouldn't be too long before a confrontation/team-up with Hulk's son Skarr .

Just when you thought bone claws couldn't get any stupider...

I actually feel dirty after reading this.

IMO, the excess of navel gazing that amounts to examining and re-examining Wolverine's origin has translated into just so many barnacles on a once mighty ship. And almost all of the excess of 'current' Wolverine stories take place in a murky, but ever-expanding, past. Having just read the Wolverine Saga Marvel giveaway, I'm confounded by how everything that's ever happened to Wolverine has been somehow orchestrated by Romulus. I've been reading Wolverine off and on for 30 years, and I have absolutely no idea who Romulus is. Here's my vote for X-Men Forever, a title that at least scrapes off some of this gunk and doesn't feature a 'Dark Reign' tag.

Paulo, see Marvel's October solicits...Incredible Hulk #603, Wolverine/Daken v. Bruce Banner/Skarr.
And here you thought you were being funny.
Edited to add terribad picture. Yes, that's Bruce Banner shooting at Daken.

Oddly enough, no. I'd honestly be surprised if it didn't happen.

So, when will they bring back Mariko?
It's bound to happen.

If Daken has his daddy's super-healing, he couldn't have tattoos, can he?
