Not a big Thanos fan; in my opinion, Darkseid could eat him for breakfast and shit him out before lunch, but...

Great work, as usual, JB; nice angle & use of perspective.

For those who pay attention to such things -- there is a slight cheat in the perspective here. Viewed from the side, Thanos would be leaning slightly forward. This was necessary to avoid having his right boot growing out of his hip!

I discovered Thanos before Darkseid and the Marvel vs Thanos storyline was so unbelievably cool that it left a lasting impression to me (I think many others, like Matt Reed if I remember correctly).
Darkseid I first met during the Great Darkness Saga. I had even read Mongul vs Starman/Superman before knowing Darkseid. What stroke me as too weird, when I found out the chronology of ieach character, was the conception of Mogul. Why did DC allow a copy of a copy of one of their characters be created? Wasn't it completely reduntant?

I think Thanos, Mongul and Darkseid are completely different villains. They have simular looks but I think personality and motivation wise they differ greatly. You could not just plug Mongul into a Thanos story or Thanos into a Mongul story. Nor could you swap Darkseid and Thanos.

Well it does help that Thanos and Mongul were both created by Starlin (I think that Len Wein had a hand in Mongul if I recall).
