You are right, of course. But I used to read those images as if the flag-suit were attached to the underlying electronics-- like the electronics were "in the lining".

In other words, what Heather was holding up is what I expected the battle suit to look like. Without reading Heather's words, I've been living in perfectly consistent ignorance.

I forced myself to read on until #43. I loved Mignola's cover art and June Brigman's interior art but the stories...yuck. I'm ready to give Pat Broderick's run a try. But I would need some advice and good words about it from someone here first.
