Nice one. My favorites in this piece are Black Widow and Jack of Hearts.

I like how if you look at just the face, you can tell who the character is. And to echo Adam, it looks like there are people watching the team from the windows of the buildings.

Pardon my grammar, but freakin' awesome!

Never read the Champions book, but I might have to soon.  I love Hercules and Black Widow.  Natasha especially stands out.  Thanks for sharing.

These Champions look amazing, I never understood why the Champions became the butt of so many jokes in the later Marvel Universe, I loved that team's dynamic.

I always had a soft spot for this group. I have to go back and read it tough, I don't remember the Jack of Hearts in it.

But hey, My memory isn't what it used to be. At least from what I can remember.

Superb!

I don`t know you go about figuring out the character placement and attitude for best effect like that.

Obviously Angel and Jack O Hearts should be airborne and Goliath should be central because of his size; but coming up with the line of the Widow's figure aligning neatly with Goliath's left arm while giving due expression to Hercule's power and Iceman's versatility ...

It's as if this is a clever collage of great mini-commissions consisting of single characters.

Makes me wonder how many "could-be" illustrators you've just given bricks in their shorts to.

AWESOME!!!

My memory must be shot, though... I don't recall Jack O' Hearts being a Champion.

Gorgeous! A team I could never get into until JB ends up drawing them decades later.

••

Nor do I. A assumed this was simply the customer's preference!
