This is only your first 'Tasha, JB? You draw her so well, it's hard to believe no one's requested her before. After seeing her in this, I bet her count will increase!

••

This is the fourth time the Black Widow has turned up in a commission. My entirely arbitrary "rule" is that a character needs at least three appearances before getting a line on the Count.

Awesome piece, JB.  Your best Black Widow yet.  Also, the Hercules has a JR JR vibe to it.

I'm inclined to agree. With both Natasha and Darkstar something happened in the faces that I really, really like. Hope it's not a fluke!

JB (in part): "My entirely arbitrary "rule" is that a character needs at least three appearances before getting a line on the Count."

Me (best "Johnny Carson" voice): "I did not know that."

I still bet you get a lot more requests for her!  All your women are gorgeous!

I love trying to guess what the character is from the title!

Great piece... although I just re-read The Champions trades, and J-o-H wasn't in there.  Did the Champs make an appearance later where he joined up?

Used to. Then, just before HIDDEN YEARS, something finally clicked.

Love this piece.  Don't know why, but I do tend to like the less popular characters that you get for these wonderful commissions.  Enjoy this piece o'commissioner!

Cool!  Congrats to the commissioner!

Hey, two beautiful Russian women in the same JB commission...  Is this a first?

Really lovely drawing.  I especially love the Bill Foster Goliath.  Another character who met his end needlessly.
