Crom Cruach if it's a boy and Erishkigel if it's a girl.

Nah, Andrew if it's a boy and Catherine if it's a girl.

I always say I'm going to name any children, boy/girl combo, Cornelius and Zera. Don-Cornelius Davis would be pretty hot too.

I recently stumbled on Thurman as a character name. Thurman Davis has a ring.

In general, for cool factor, I think a longer slightly unusual first name coupled with the more terse Davis. Like in Indiana Jones.

I'm partial to Esmeralda too, though it's a mouthful.

Woodrow Davis. But don't turn him into a Woody.

Theolonius Davis, if you want some jazzy underscore. But again, I can't stand the shortened Theo. Gotta be the whole enchilada.

Sydney Davis, after a beautiful dame I know, sounds good I just discovered.

If it's a boy: Maximillian.

As Max Davis he sounds like a fun guy to be with. As Maximillian Davis he sounds intriguing and sophisticated. The name is sufficiently unusual to avoid there being lots of other Maximillian Davises out there, but normal enough to avoid any kind of ribbing at school.

If it's a girl: Jennifer. Just a pretty name.

Kal-El, if it's a boy, Kara, if it's a girl.

Or Crunchy Frog -- works for either.  Toad Elevating Moment or Owl-Stretching Time are too long (and the Monty Python gang didn't like them, either .)

Similiar to JB's favorite boy name, Nathan.... We named our son Nate.  I was partial to Six Feet Under and I like the ring and simplicity of it.   It's also cool to know that JB likes a version of the name too.....bonus!

I am told my former classmate in elementary school named his son Kal-El.  I never knew he was such a fan of the character.

When I was about 12, I saw "World According to Garp" and heard the name Duncan for the first time (Garp's oldest son).  I immediately told myself that if I ever had a son, that was going to be his name.  I just loved it.  Duncan Patrick Maxwell will be 5 in December.  And yes, that name rolls off the tongue nicely when he gets busted :^)

When my wife and I were considering a third, we were dead set on the name Huck for a boy...short of Huckelberry, of course.

We really liked Lucy for a girl.

Franklin for a boy. Named for both FDR & young Master Richards.

Alison for a girl, just because I like it.

It's not much fun for the kid, either. All my life I've had to spell my name for those who've heard it and need to write it, and pronounce it for those who've read it and thought I spelled "Wayne" incorrectly.
