I was going through some scans I have to post on the thread about the "Captain America" movie in the Movies section of the site, and I thought it would be fun to post a gallery of the original "Captain America Comics" series. I all ready have scans of each cover, but while searching for better resolution scans on Google, I was led to a fantastic website that is a wonderful resource for fans of Marvel/Timely/Atlas Comics from the 1940's through the 1950's era. Check out this site:

http://www.atlastales.com/

There is a LOT of cool information and scans there!

So, I thought that in addition to posting Captain America covers, it would be cool to also use this thread to start a discussion about the Timely-Atlas comics. I noticed many interesting things about them while going through the Atlas website. I will post about some of the things I noticed after I finish posting the Captain America cover gallery.

What do YOU think of this era of Marvel Comics history?

Really would love to read more of these stories from this time period. Wish they would reprint them in tpb.
