Man, I wish JB had stayed on Uncanny for a while longer because of that commission right there. But, then he wouldn't have done his wonderful run on Fantastic Four.

Magnificent!

I'll add to the chorus of approvals for how cool the effect for Havok's power looks. Juggernaut looks so heavy, you can almost hear him pounding along, while Jean looks very sleek. These characters have never looked better.

Love everything about Havok in this piece.  Juggernaut looks better than ever also!  Fantastic in every way!

I'm intrigued by the rush of positive comments on how I portrayed Havok's power here. I'm not aware that it's any different how I've done it before!

Excellent, JB - the X-Men material has been a welcome series these last few weeks.  I really needed to see the gang again, and these commissions have kept your X-Men work as part of my night table reading over this last weekend.

Not sure you're portraying Havok's powers any differently than normal but (a) it's not that often we see you drawing Hvaok in action, so it comes as a nice reminder and (b) it's particularly effective in black and white.

I suppose there is a 'different than normal' aspect in the complementary 'strobe' lighting on Juggernaut's helmet. Works a treat.

Sweet! I echo the sentiment that the havoc effect (and costume) is really eye-catching. The story behind this shot must really be a good one.

I sure do miss "my" X-Men. Now how long do I have to wait for Disney to clean house at Marvel and create a suitable environment for Mr. Byrne to return to these old friends? (or am I just engaging in wishful thinking)

One of these days I will have to bite the bullet and jump into the commission pool.

Enjoy the week.

The two things that stand out for me are the lighting on Juggernaut and how shiny Phoenix's boots are. It's amazing how a relatively small amount of black ink can create such an effect (in the right hands of course).

Arrgghh!

Make me pine THAT MUCH more for a sweet and awesome Byrne X-Men commission.  I have one in mind but I have to save up for it.

The cool thing is it is still an X-Men commission that has not yet been done and I want it like crazy.

I am pretty sure that JB will consent to do it as it doesn't involve the characters or scenario that occurred after his initial run.

In the mean time, nobody read my mind and commission it!
