"Sell my clothes, I'm goin' to Heaven! "

So the tables have finally turned, huh?

Damn, I can imagine you getting a thrill out of just seeing Kubert write your name with his own handwriting, let alone Cap!!

John and Clint can confirm, but I believe these were from the recent Joe Kubert: How To Draw From Life released last year, which offered a "sketch edition" limited to 100 copies. (Although the word "sketch" hardly begins to do justice to either piece of work.)

Matthew is right.  I actually liked the quality of the book I got.  The "sketch" in it to me is almost priceless.

Probably are some still available (I didn't check).  People should go order one then post their piece in the new artwork thread!

I got choked up looking at that-- I remember you posting about your failed attempt to get Joe Kubert to draw a Cap commission for you. I felt sympathetic-disappointment for you and also a sort of confusion I feel whenever the little-kid inside me is faced with the reality that great comic pros aren't one big happy club.

Seeing the drawing, and how magnificent it is, I hear the little kid in me saying "See? I told you he'd do it!"

Amazing. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, wow!

Love that it's on gray paper so the white highlights really pop.

Joe da man.

My jealousy know no depths right now.

Wow.

What an incredible present!  I bet you wish you had turned 60 earlier, JB!

"...also, I can't believe Jim's been holding on to that since December!!!"

Oh, I can believe someone holding on to it. What beggars belief is handing that thing over.  It shows tremendous strength of character.
