It seems to me that all JB has to do is direct people who are reading other sites to come here.  Maybe an email message from the Forum moderators can be sent to some of the comic book websites/magazines indicating this.  Even most of the printed mags out there put in web links.

Then, all the rules and procedures for posting questions can be controlled from this site.

I'm sure this has occurred to others here.

Just because people aren't 'registered' doesn't mean they don't come here....
most of the people I talk to personally about this site aren't registered, but know every detail of which I speak.

Anthony,

There are quite a few lurkers on this forum. Just keep your eye on this thread. Only 14 posts and over 1500 views in four and a half hours.

Compare that to the new commission thread. 43 responses, it's been up five hours and only 979 views.

For regular members the commission threads are some of the most popular.

For the lurkers it is the threads that may be "controversal" that get more attention.

Either way this is a pretty popular website.

Anthony:  "The purpose of reaching out to readers of other sites and magazines isto find casual readers who might be interested in reading your book butaren't dedicated enough to follow you online as your most devoted fans."

If media would like JB's opinion, they could ask here.  I've seen JB quoted from the forum before.  The added benefit is that if the article results in a misunderstanding, the thread will be the primary source to clarify context.

Solid idea, JB - I like it on all fronts.

Well this is already getting out on the nets. No surprise.

I just wanted to pop in and say that the Around Comics podcast interview we did with Mr. Byrne a couple years back was one of the best experiences I've had as a comics fan.

Mr. Byrne was gracious, funny, and didn't shy away from any questions. An interview that was scheduled to last 45 minutes went on for over 2 amazing hours.

I understand that at some point you either don't have anything else to say that hasn't been said before, or you would rather discuss things in a different way. Whatever the reasons, I wanted you to know that the vicious and cranky John Byrne that people like to talk about was anything but when we talked with him.

Chris from AC

JB: As the thread title indicates, I have decided to give no more interviews.

Why bother? I have this Forum, where anyone who wants can ask me direct questions about just about anything under the Sun, and where I can spontaneously post my opinions whenever the mood strikes.

---

Huh!

I was just reading this again recently...

...and I thought, "I love these things, but I'm surprised JB still does them because of his site" -- I guess that thought occurred to Mr. Byrne as well!

I believe you said the interview with Draw was not done yet. If so please verify this so I can cancel my order. I have no interest in that book if you are not involved.

I like the forum better anyway. Asking you questions myself beats the hell out of a interview. The first time you responded to a question I asked I ran and told my wife. She loves me so she puts up with my geekness.

Does this include podcasts, or any other audio or video medium?  I really enjoyed the one or two you've done, since it was so fun to hear your voice, even -- heck, especially -- when it was saying things I'd seen you "say" in writing on this board.
