This bodes well for us!

Indeed!

I'm really curious about the new series, but will resist the urge to pepper JB with questions about it now. I'm sure he will let us know what's what when the time is right. In the meantime, I'll keep my fingers crossed in hoped that Jazz plays a big role in AFTERMATH!

When I first conceived my "sequel" to JBNM, which happened about halfway into the original run, and was for something very different in scope and shape, Jazz was going to be the ONLY character from the series who "crossed over" into the new book.

Over the years, the idea has warped and morphed and generally transformed itself, but Jasmine's presence has remained the one constant!

I'm so excited (and a little sad) to see you wrap up Next Men! It's been so great to have my monthly fix of John Byrne (and more with the Jurassic Park mini). I remember how sad I was at the tender age of 20 when JBNM stopped coming out. I never thought we'd see it finished!

I'm soooo glad we will see even more Byrne goodness coming up in the next few months. It's a dream come true for a Byrne-Victim. Now if we could only get some true super-heroic action from JB I'd be all set!

That seems to be restricting itself to the commission pieces for the foreseeable future!

John does sci fi as well as he does superheroes, so all is well.

If that means the focus will be on people in "regular" clothes, you'll hear no complaints from me. It has often been the way you write and draw "normal" people and settings that's made me think, "This guy is really good!"

Well, thank you Young Jedi! It has taken me a LONG time to get even close to be happy with the way I render drapery. I look at my X-MEN stuff, or even FANTASTI FOUR, ALPHA FLIGHT, SUPERMAN -- and all too often the characters look like their sleeves and trouser legs are made from cardboard tubes!

The New Project is ALL about civilian clothes.*

Don't worry! It's not an ongoing adaptation of Alan Sherman's "Ballad of Harry Lewis"!

Sad to see it end. Looking to keep following it through "Aftermath".
