Other direction!

***

I think I'm getting the idea, assuming it relates to something that was hinted at in another thread not long ago.

Looking forward to the finale and to Aftermath.

I am also stoked that there will be another project as
well. Thanks again, JB, for finishing your magnum opus.
My life is complete now...

Ok, maybe not, but I am sooo glad you finally decided to
wrap this up. Thanks again for everything.

I'm sad in a way. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I was hoping Next Men Vol. 2 would run a bit longer than it has. JB had talked about possibly ending the series with issue #39 back when he started and there was talk of the numbering on the covers, but I don't remember him saying that was official before (or I blocked it out!). It's been such a joy to read, and it has reminded me that comics can be exciting and the wait between issues excruciating, which I thought wasn't possible anymore! I'm grateful to JB for that feeling and I'm glad he got to return and finish Next Men. I just want more!

On the other hand, two new JB series, including one spinning out of Next Men? Okay, that eases the pain a bit...

My wife would be so proud of me right now. I was going to
say something that I think maybe I should not say. Not
sure, but I will just keep my mouth shut, so to speak.

Now if only I could do this with her...

Hiya Ted ... I suffer from this problem.....so I would like to apologize to anyone whom I may have offended with my mouth...especially the big guy! This place is a joy to visit and I thank you all for not kicking me to the curb......

Mr. Byrne, thanks for bringing the joy....the experience of the NEXT MEN is unique and unlike any other experience in comicdom....These characters breathe life and I care about them.....

The tantalizing hints of AFTERMATH are making me quite excited about this one.  I can't imagine what it will be about.

"Other direction!"

Ha ha I'd just die to see JB do a western.

Two new series?  I hadn't heard of that before.

Exciting.

JB is one of the reasons I still read comics.  One of the big reasons!

Oh, it doesn't seem like the news made it here yet. IDW announced that John starts his new series, Cold War, in September. Presumably it's set during the titular time period.

Is 38 the last issue of Next Men?  I've been purposely avoiding all the talk about the individual issues so i could enjoy the whole thing in one reading.

Edited for spelling correction.
