20" x 30" illo of Batman and the Fantastic Four vs. Venom and Dr. Doom. The details are:

- please use strong black and white contrasts

- black costumes for the Fantastic Four

- long hair for Sue

- Batman in costume with black bat on chest

- smooth cloak for Dr. Doom

- please draw Venom similar to how you drew him for Clint's monster gallery (very evil) LINK

- please highlight Batman and The Thing vs. Venom

Orientation and background are up to you.

The customer really likes the "Batman & FF vs Darkseid" commission you drew last year and would like something in a similar vein. LINK

Couldn't quite see Doom actually fighting side by side with Venom, but…

Excellent!  Who'd've thought Doom could be so menacing just sitting around?

Doom is marvelously nonchalant.

Quality work, that should warm the heart of both old stuff and new stuff fans.

I love it.

Cool pic, JB.

Really like how you've shown Sue. Also like Doom's cloak and the reflected
light on his arms and legs. Looks really 3D.

COOL!! I really like Venom's mouth sticking out like that too.

Oh hey, and the fact that Batman's cowl is highlighted by white/contrast alone! It's so natural I glossed right over it at first.

You have to be kidding me!! WOW!

Everything looks amazing! The FF and Batman VS Venom And Doom is such an incredible lineup that I would never have considered.

I think Venom stands out the most to me. I can't believe how great this piece looks.

Very odd pairing. But you make it look easy. It's a keeper.

Another, stunning masterpiece, despite the use of Venom (one of my least favorite creations).

The Batman really looks part of the team here, doesn't he? He's so often depicted as a loner or as THE leader.

The first detail that jumped out at me is The Batman's head: can the use of the cloak's shadows to delimit his head be referred to a subjective countouring? Striking effect at any rate.

Nice to note the B&W balance: the floor underneath Dr. Doom contributes perfectly.

Also, the metal technique on Doom's leg, especially the one resting on the floor, is positively 3-d.

Seriously, a movie director looking at this commission must come to think of CGI (at least the current variety) as hopelessly inferior to illustration when depicting superheroics.

And suddenly this Batman reminds me of Walter Simonson...
