I missed this the other day - the covers look wonderful with the title on them.

And if you pick up COLD WAR #4, you get a peek at the first AFTERMATH cover in all its full page printed glory!

I've asked Chris Ryall to make sure the riding Roman's sword is in FRONT of the logo on the printed cover.

Here's the non-trippy version of the cover to 42. . .

I agree with Thanos -- The cover to 41 is just AMAZING!  Love it.

Since I bought my iPad last year I have gone digital which has given me a much better reading experience. Looking at the other version of the cover above reminds me of another advantage of digital i.e. my downloads of Cold War come with both covers. I presume that the same will be true of Aftermath.

Nice. It's hard for me to decide which of the two I like better!

Still don't see how that can be true. The iPad, for instance, completely defeats the visual impact of a double page spread. It has to be either shown cut in half, forcing the reader to scroll side to side to see the whole image, or, if the whole image is to be displayed, reduced in size. So a spread, which is done for a BIGGER picture, actually becomes a SMALLER picture!!

I can't see how digital comic could ever replace a paper comic.  The look of the book, the smell, the touch are all lost.  As JB noted, the double page spread would be reduced to zip on an iPad.  I'd need a 27 inch iMac to enjoy the art.  Heck with trades I lose the double page spread somewhat.  I love the big sized books: the Martini Edition of Parker was better bigger.  The Captain America Treasury by Kirby comes alive at that size (then again a small panel by Kirby comes alive).  Simonson's Thor Artist Edition on an iPad?

I like seeing the Aftermath covers on my screen but want to hold one.  I run to the store for the Next Men like I was 13 again and no comic has gotten me to do that in a long time.  I was like "he is finishing it?" Yeah!  I think if I had downloaded the book the same day onto my iPad etc. it would not have felt as exciting for some reason.

My iPad enables me to download updated comics at a regular basis.
Where I come from there isn't a comic book shop at sight so the iPad
gets me excited whenever there's new comics out. The best part is that
I'm now updated along with the rest of the world. Though I agree with
JB about a page spread losing its appeal on the iPad, I find that the
comic's function, portability and availability is important to me. I'm just
grateful that such technology now exist. I look forward in buying
Aftermath :)

I have been hearing that about my work since the very early days -- since before I even knew what Japanese animation looked like, in fact!

(The very first Japanese animated cartoon I saw was one Chris Clarement dragged me to see at a New York con, circal 1975 or so. I don't remember the title, except that, perhaps slightly ironically, it had "Phoenix" in it.)

Regarding my comments about digital giving me a better reading experience, I should have explained further. About 10 weeks ago I damaged a muscle at the back of my right eye, which has left me with double vision requiring me to wear an eye patch. The good news is that it is healing, although it could take a further 10 weeks before it is back to normal. The bad news is that I am having problems reading requiring the use of a magnifying glass and an extra light source.

The iPad allows me to magnify the lettering and provides back lighting. However, to answer JB's point, Comixology's comic reader allows you to look at the whole page or double page spread or to look at individual panels. I choose to read the comic panel by panel first and then go back and look at it again page by page. It has encouraged me to read more comics in the last few months than the rest of the previous year. I'm loving my iPad.
