JB: Here's the non-trippy version of the cover to 42. . .

---

I personally like the "trippy" version better... that thing would POP on the comic shop shelves.

JB:  "I've asked Chris Ryall to make sure the riding Roman's sword is in FRONT of the logo on the printed cover."

It's correct in the full page ad at the end of COLD WAR #4, and it looks much better with the sword in front of the logo.

The cover looks so good in print - seeing Jazz is a welcome sight indeed

I agree - the logo works really well.  Seeing the classic NEXT MEN design with AFTERMATH is a nice mix of new and familiar.

I just finished reading this Series (Aftermath) over the weekend.

There are some shows, comics or experiences that you just don't want to finish and as such I was more than a little hesitant to commit to the finale, because it meant it would be done.

In all honesty, I had no idea what John was going to do to wrap all this up and I spent no brain power trying to work it out. So the Next-Men, for me at least, have sat happily in limbo since 1995.

I had bought the comics when they were released and for no good reason sat down with them on Saturday and Sunday.

Thank-you John, a better conclusion I couldn't have wanted. I never knew what I wanted but this delivered exactly what I needed.

A fabulous series that is arguably the best saved to last.

Amazing.
