Started yesterday. Also not a commission. 11x14 inches.A somewhat more dynamic variant on an idea I played with many moons ago.
And the original version. . .

11x14 looks like a nice size for this sort of piece. Multiple figures posed together.

Amazing how much more demonic lack of hair makes Kurt look!

There should be a "Not Commissions" section of the gallery. =0)
Wolverine and Nightcrawler are particularly interesting to me in these outfits. Very fun piece.

11x14 looks like a nice size for this sort of piece.•• I should perhaps note that 11x14 is NOT a new size being offered for commissions. It just happens to be the size of the pad I took the boards from!

I would love to see a story with these characters in these costumes.

Very nicely done. I find it quite striking to compare the two images and fun to note the differences in costumes and how the characters appear.

Eventually, I expect this, like other non-commission pieces, will find its way to eBay.

Oh, fudge... First time I looked at the image I thought :"Why is Beast there, and not Wolverine?" . I mean, the pose, the claws, the expression, that's all Wolverine, but for some reason the absence of that distinctive "pointy hair" silhouette threw me for a second. Really cool and unusual look for the lot of them.

Wow. It's truly ashamed that we didn't get to see this in the comic... at least for a few issues!

This is cool. Somehow I am expecting Wolverine's hair to start poking up thru the top of his mask.

Thanks for sharing JB! That's really cool! I was curious if you did non-commissioned pieces just for the fun of it! Really really cool!

They all look happy to be in action, especially Cyclops! A much more somber group in older picture. I always liked that original pic! Thanks for showing us the new one!

Very cool, the "diamond" around the necks is an improvement, Kurt definately looks more demonic without the hair, not really feeling Storm's mask though. Hmm not sure about Wolverine, amazing how distinguishing his helmet and face are, kinda gets lost in the crowd without them.
