Darkseid will crush him, but Thanos will meet Death--so win-win.

••

But since he seems to be in the DCU at the moment, Thanos may not quite know what to make of Death!

I've been complaining much, of late, that the PITT brush pens have turned a bad corner, and for several years have been nowhere near as good as they were when I first started using them. Where once I could get solid blacks and a couple of pages out of a single pen, I now find I get dark grays, and the nib is shot before I have finished even half a page.

***

Back when I used to draw/ink I used Staedler Mars Graphic 3000 brush pens.  They went down in quality over the years but I used to dip the black pen into black india ink to extend their lifespan and get a darker black.

RC Cola, what? No, seriously. Never that big a fan of either of these guys but still a great drawing. The one thing I have learned from JBs commissions is varying the thickness of lines gives so much more depth and weight to a drawing, wish I knew that a long time ago. And I don't know how you even conceive of that background let alone draw it.

>>>When it comes to Darkdseid, nobody, not
even Kirby himself, draws him better than you JB. Since, I first saw
you draw him in LEGENDS, I've thought so. Thanos here is equally as
good.<<<

In total agreement. JB's Darkseid just seethes with "threat."

I love the title of the commission! JB did his usual great job of making someone's idea come to life.

I've never understood why certain artists over the years have felt the
need to overly complicate Darkseid's design. IMO, the simplicity of it
allows the artist to play with expression and emotion instead of
overcomplicating his head piece and wardrobe, or giving him a larger
brow that boarders on the ridiculous.

Great title for the commission.

Love the faces on both characters.
