Awesome. I'm shocked how much I loved this issue. I think so far it's my favorite of the new Next Men issues. Can't wait to see where it's going!

This was a great issue. I thought I recognized that spaceship. I was totally lost with the 1975 interlude. I can't see how JB could possibly wrap this up in 5 issues.

I really like Sam, kind of a Pierson's Puppeteer vibe, without the whole running from danger thing. I guess I'm really saying that only because it's nice to have an alien that isn't human, but intelligent. Nice. I really liked the way Sam jumped into the fight. Onuk is cool too. The dinosaurs I really like, kind of a scary chicken vibe to them.
The end comes too quick and again JB leaves us wanting for the next issue. I'm not really sure where it's going, but I'm enjoying the ride again.

BRAVO, JB! You've managed to top what came previously and that's an amazing feat! JBNM 40 gave me this sense that now anything can really happen! It makes me wish this could be an infinite series as there's no other comic quite like this out there. Some elements of this first issue reminded me of Philip José Farmer's Riverworld series. Along with Moebius and Walt Simonson, you're one of the few living cartoonist I can remember of who succeeds to inject into comic books that particular vibe one gets from reading classic science-fiction novels. If this really is the final arc of Next Men, at least consider creating some sort of ongoing science-fiction comic to run parallel to Trio and Cold War - imho, it's a niche your creative strengths serve prefectly. Still, I'd rather prefer if you kept on building upon the Next Men foundation. When is the next issue coming out?

AWESOME!!!!
An excellent stand-alone story, and there is plenty to chew on for those of us who pore over each NEXT MEN issue. Fantastic!
I am glad I read the online preview to this because it underscored why I prefer reading the printed page. Re-reading the first pages in print is amazing - this looks so fantastic. The art has never looked better. That opening scene is a dream come true!

....where in world...?•• Probably the most important question, that one! Where, indeed!

Picked this up last night, and loved it.
The story was great, and the art was also good. I'm very interested to see where things will go from here. It's clear that the events and actions of the previous issues have had some unanticipated consequences. I'm looking forward to seeing how this is resolved.
I particularly enjoyed the dynamic of all of the various interactions like the people from the future, the 1950s action star, and the Roman soldiers, and how, despite the strangeness of it, you kept it as realistic as possible. Like some of the other readers, I was also reminded of Kuno from DD+1. I also thought the alien was a great touch, and something we haven't really seen in Next Men before. Very cool design.
I am, however, disappointed to hear that this run will only last 5 issues.
I hadn't been inside the comic book store since the last issue of Next Men came out, so I also picked up all four issues of your Cold War. I read the first issue and I enjoyed it as well. Both your writing style and your art continues to evolve in unexpected ways. The cover reminded me of Dave Johnson's covers on 100 Bullets.
