I am devastated by this news. When I was in Angoulême during the many comics conventions, he was untouchable, people were so protective.

I had the opportunity to meet him when he came to sign in the only one French bookstore in Hong Kong. we have had a small one-to-one chat for a while. He was truly humble, passionate about the medium, simple.

Oh man ...

I met him too and probably made a fool of myself… I couldn't articulate anything intelligible.

He was patient and humble. He graciously drew a couple of sketches on my books, I felt like a child.

He meant so much to me.

I felt a little sick when I saw the thread title. He was truly one of the greats, and will be remembered as such for a long time to come.
