Changed the M, more of a harness type design and tweaked the colors slightly. This is fun, more than 1 entry allowed?

never saw a Wonder Man as Marvel's attempt at an unofficial Silver Age Superman... his personality was that of the insecure strongman; always doubting his worth and looking for his way to hold his on the team. That was especially seen during the Count Nefaria issues. I thought it made him a interesting character and i liked how JB expanded on his personality on AVENGERS WEST COAST with his connection to the Vision and Scarlett Witch.

Two things about your comment:
You talk of the insecure Wonder Man. That's exactly my point. He is a stealth Marvel "Superman" imo. Feet of clay. The feet of clay for Wonder Man puts him in the situation to challenge his heart and emotions, but does not OVERDO it. At the end of the day, his nobility still shines. Or, that is how it would have been had Stan Lee been allowed to continue with the character uninterrupted imo.
For the record, the insecurity and doubting Wonder Man came, I believe, from Jim Shooter. But, also this point is very ironic, because it is the "insecure" Wonder Man schtick that, in my opinion, cast a dark cloud over the character, in that for years, he could not blossom into a full on hero. He was pretty much a one dimensional character, and kind of a cry-baby until, I feel, JB came along and set him right in Avengers and West Coast Avengers.

No -- I said Shooter wanted him to be the same power level as the Silver Age Superman.
..
Oops. Sorry about that one JB.

I never had a problem recognizing the "WM" design on Simon's costume. That particular design looks waaayy better with bare arms, IMO.

I always liked Wonder Mans original green and red costume. I'm not sure why, I think it had to do with a visor being a part of the mask. When I first saw that (when I was a kid) it just seemed cool to me. Other than that, Simon's black and red costume that was in use when JB was on the West Coast Avengers would be my next favorite. It was simple and uncluttered and the bare arms gave you the idea that he was the "strong man" of the team. I was never really a fan of any other costume he's worn over the years.

Can someone do a Wonder Man image where he can have a cape on him similar to Superman's or Captain Marvel's cape?

I think Frank just won!
Honestly I've liked all the redesigns I've seen here better than the published costume.

I like what both Andy and Frank have done with the design, with the edge going to Andy's big "W" look.

Loving the above color scheme. Baffles me that it wasn't done this way back then in favor of the green and red.

Baffles me that it wasn't done this way back then in favor of the green and red.•• Coloring was kind of hit and miss in those days. George may have designed the costume with those colors in mind, or he may have simply left it up to the colorist. The latter was not uncommon. Only problem, in that scenario the colorist would often come up with a color scheme based entirely on who else was in the panel, or where the scene was set. Remember those early X-MEN covers where the Scarlet Witch was GREEN?
