UPDATE: I contacted the Futura model people, and will most likely be getting one for myself as a birthday present this year.

Now. . .   do I want it in that creamy white, which was the original Futura color, or, in memory of my old ALP tin toy, should I ask "Does it come in black?"

I don't know if I've seen the creamy white version before. Looks like it'd be right at home on the Vegas Strip.

fantastic image, JB-- love the pairing of Batman and Batgirl!

now i'm wondering... amid all the various batmobiles that have been introduced, do you have a special favorite?

••

My favorite of the "real" Batmobiles (ie, the ones that appeared in the comics!) is undoubtedly the 1950s bubble-top version.

When I visited Pinewood Studios in 1988, when pre-production was under way for the first Tim Burton Batman movie, I also really liked Anton Furst's Batmobile ---- until he pointed out where the machine guns were mounted.

Some of you will recall the various Batmobiles I built for GENERATIONS…

These were modeled/mapped to look like line drawings, so I could cut-and-paste them directly onto the pages.

Your 1975 Batmobile blew me away when I saw the first time.  Did you draw inspiration for it (in part) from a Stuts Blackhawk?
