I like the way the metallic highlighting is different on the red stripes than the white one. Few would think through the color impact on a B&W piece.

And Steve has his dimpled chin! Not many people get that right these days!

One of the first comics I ever read was Avengers #181 and your depiction of Captain America has been what I've always considered THE way he's supposed to be drawn. Of course, later on I learned of Jack Kirby's and Steranko's Cap, but I will always have a soft spot for your version (which has only gotten better and more refined in the ensuing decades). I wish there had been more issues of your run with Roger Stern on the title which I consider some of the best Cap stories ever.

Wonderful commission.

Without that, there would be no practical way to show the stripes were different colors.

In one of the first drawings of Cap I did for Marvel I left out the chin dimple, and no less than Stan Lee pointed out my error! That's the sort of thing that sticks with me!

As I said before, you nailed it. That is Steve Rogers, Captain America.

Funny to see how cool the costume looks like in the comics ... and how much I disliked it in the Avengers movie ... but this is not the right thread, I know ...

Concerning the commission, wonderful piece ! I like the angle and the way you depict so much strength coming from his legs .... it's almost as if he's jumping through the drawing.

Current Marvel artists could use a few visits from Stan!

Hey! That's my commission! I didn't even know Mr. Bryne had started it yet. I haven't received any e-mails about it in awhile.
