Amazing how you are able to incorporate all the story-telling details into one static picture.

Poor Reed looks in bad shape. I hope Sue's force-field can hold against against Galactus' power (doesn't seem likely...)!

Nobody draw these characters better.

Jeez, two commissions over the weekend. This image is just incredible. Doom seeming to succeed over Reed and Galactus. I would love to see how this story line plays out. This commission would be one hell of an advertisement to a story arc. Congrats, Jason. I bet you are still smiling after seeing this on the boards.

That was a pretty amazing commission thread. The ability for an artist to start from nothing and create a piece of art is something special.

Jason, in relation to your newest commission, I think it's too glorious and beautiful to only stay in one place. I think it's only fair that the rest of the forum members get to enjoy it in person too. You can have it on odd numbered days and every other Sunday.

:D

As I learned from Steve Ditko -- not directly, alas, only from studying his work -- the "trick" to making something look bright is to lay a heavy black outline around it.

Sadly, this is something too many modern "colorists" do not understand, as they race to knock out such borders with colors, none of which can ever be as strong as good, ol' fashioned BLACK.
