The scene in this commission reminds me of the storyline in JKFW where Darkseid tries to control the power of the Source.

Really amazing in looking at the scan in the gallery (along with the other large 2013 pieces) on how much and well JB uses the space provided. Not congested or anything like that. Well done and thought out. The bang for your buck is at a max!

JB, you were born to do the FF. That's not to diminish any of your impressive work over multiple decades. But every time I see your work on these characters, I always think how you simply get them in a way that no other creators since Stan Lee and Jack Kirby have. Excellent.

Awesome commission. JB consistently continues to amaze and for me opens a window to when comics were fun.

It's going to be hard picking a favourite commission for 2013.

Thought this was for a new customer. If I'd known it was for a Forum regular, I'd have put more effort into it. . . . . . .

This made me bark with laughter.  and earned a look from my daughter.
What on earth would more effort have produced?  An actual doorway to that universe?

Agreed.

Q for JB: Once you draw the perspective grid, where do you start on a character?  I'm thinking it must be at the feet for the character to be "grounded".
