Super commission! Wolverine could take a cue from Batman for a utility belt of his own to stash his smokes, stogies, and beer cozy.

It's brilliant, isn't it?
Batman's face/mask eyebrows/cowl and Logan's eyes squinted without pupils....pure genius of restraint. Just the business, no flaky over rendering. Brilliant anatomy. Logan's boots, and the heel mostly. I also like to think that the creator took a mighty fine liking to this one....look at the signature. That just says "#^€% yeah!" to my eyes!
Inspiration meter at max.

Totally awesome! It's great to see two of my favorite characters, by my favorite artist. Doesn't get much better. Nice job, JB!
I'm turning 49 this year. But now I know what I want next year for my own 50th. :)

That just says "#^€% yeah!" to my eyes! ••• Okay, think I'd better quash this one before it becomes a "thing." I don't "code" my signatures -- there's nothing in them to indicate whether I was especially pleased with a drawing. Think about it! What a slap in the face that would be to someone who laid out the big bucks for one of these things and didn't get the "code!" People have been finding "hidden messages" in my work since Day One, but the tip is this: if you can FIND 'em, they ain't HIDDEN! And 99.9999999999999999999999999% of the time, you won't find 'em cuz they're not really there!

JB manages to do something I find many artists can't... draw Wolverine short without making him look like just a miniature "classically tall superhero" type. JB, any insight as to how you accomplish this?
Thanks, Marc

JB, any insight as to how you accomplish this?••• The key word has already made an appearance in this thread (tho not in a post by me): STOCKY. Many artists try to draw Logan with long, lithe limps, but the guy is a sledgehammer, not an acrobat. I used to say, in days of future past, that he was 5' 2" measured in any direction!

If only more attention was given to MODEL SHEETS. Wolverine stands out more when he's drawn short and stocky, at least in my eyes.

Stupendous!
Batman literally overshadows Wolverine, though.
Just like it would happen in real life!

I've always taken Logan's line to mean that he's the best at killing. I think the thought balloons would go like this:Logan: "I'm the best there is at what I do" Batman: "I'm the best there is at everything else"
