It's interesting how sexy Timm makes these females without exaggerating their "attributes." Much like John Romita Sr., he just flat out knows how to draw gorgeous women while still keeping it within the bounds of naturalism.

Who would have thought Bruce Timm could channel so much Kirby?

Once again, loving the old school team above Professor X's head pic, this time in B&W with even more Kirby energy waves.

Timm is one of those artists, like JB, whose style seems to suit every character.  (Although I agree that first Cyclops is too muscular!)

You beat me to it, Thom! Alan Davis is on that list as well.

Timm is part of my personal Mt. Rushmore of great comicbook artists.

The energy of his characters is off the charts.

Bruce doesn't do a whole lot of actual comic books though, does he?  He has ever done a monthly?

This is one of those rare moments when the drawing in thecomic resembles the animation of the screen.

Made me think of the 1960's Superman animated series which -- at (too rarely) times -- actually channeled Curt Swan to my eyes.

Anyway, if this clown Timm were doing a regular series or even a one-shot, I'd lay down my hard-earned cash for it.

I wish he'd do with Marvel characters what he did with Batman in the 90s. Not like this direct to DVD stuff but a back to the roots essence of the characters take on an animated series.

I liked the one-shot Avengers 1 1/2 he did.

Weird to see Bruce's interpretations of my designs. Cool, mind you. But weird.---
His She-Hulk and Demon are also very good. He shares the Kirby-gene with you or whatever it is that makes these characters pop the way you do.
