I read and (for the most part) enjoyed MULTIVERSITY.

Maybe I'm just trying to grab hold of anything new that's closer to the
original Captain Marvel than what the new mainstream DC has done to
him.

I might've read Multiversity if I hadn't given up on Grant Morrison years ago for starting to believe his own hype.

I honestly did enjoy his writing, once.

I started reading classic and contemporary science fiction novels, biographies, true crime, political books and after a friend of mine saw I read so much, he gave me his own kindle.  Sure I still love the classic comics that I grew up with in the 70's. However my work schedule and making a living to keep the lights on an fuel in my tank over ride any desire I have for comics anymore.

I stopped collecting years ago.  When I was young, I would pick up books for better or worse because I was a comic book fan and that is what I was supposed to do. I have a couple dozen long bozes in my basement as a tribute to my adolescent excess of disposable income.

Today, I pick up books that I find (or will likely find) entertaining. I am very deliberate in my choices because that disposable income has been replaced by children who need braces and want to be signed up for this sport or that and the realization that a cheap bag of Funyuns is not a meal. I don't buy week to week by intention anymore.  It does sometime happen, but barely. I wait, sometime months, for books to come down in price. Yes, I might miss out on something, but then I will find something else just as if I was browsing a bookstore. Dropping the collector mentality really opened up my enjoyment in finding fun things.
