I love the few full art jobs I've seen from Janson. A DC COMICS PRESENTS Superman-Adam Strange team-up comes to mind. Really nice stuff.

If I was editor of DC Comics I'd get the band back together again. If they couldn't get Lin Varley on colors, Klaus Janson on inks and Miller on penciling the book. I'd get his old friend Neal Adams at least to draw the graphic novels.
However I if I had a crystal ball I'll speculate here that Jim Lee will be drawing the DK3. However not having read a comic in over 25 years I am sure there they might get someone else with a Miller vibe in their artwork that I never heard of .

For me, when the same group gets back together for another project, it is usually disappointing.

I would think Eduardo Risso or JRJr would be the frontrunners. Risso worked with Azzarello and JRJr would be the first time he and Miller worked together since Man Without Fear. With Klaus inking JRJr you have a couple pieces of the original team back. Either artist could capture the grittiness of this type of story.

Klaus has been JRjr's inker of choice for the last few years, JB. Other than Tom Palmer, I can't think of another that's inked him in quite a while.
(And the pairing is all sorts of fantastic to my eye.)

I think with Frank Miller we've reached the point where the long, broad shadow he has cast upon the comics industry has become indistinguishable from an ugly, smeared blot.
None for me, thanks.

I'm really just hopeful that all involved capture the look and tone of the original story. Whatever made it so special in the first place. Slim chance, but anything's possible especially if it's a collaboration of the right talent.
Azzarello with Miller is a good start.

DK3's subtitle is "The Master Race."
Maybe it shouldn't be, but my spider-sense is tingling, warning me of danger...

Till we know what the story's about, we should try not to jump to any negative conclusions based on a subtitle. I'm a fan of the original but not of the sequel, but I'm optimistic for now.

Look, I get why people sometimes choose provocative titles, but that one's a little too provocative for my taste.
