I really like that image - it is cover worthy.  Longtime readers will get the context and like it, but new readers will not.  So It is concerning that there are so many characters on the cover that are not on the book.  With a book that features such a long Wolverine story, you would think he would get the cover, considering JB's contribution to the character.  Or Captain America, as this features the solo run along with Avengers.  But I have always loved that portrait - it's so wonderful and always makes me smile.

It looks like a desk lamp is one of the characters.  I guess it makes sense because...... uh...... JB has used a lot of lamps in his time.  I always thought you were one of the all time great lamp aficionados, JB, so this is just perfect.  It's pretty damn bright - I guess it's projecting God's light?  I'd wear sunglasses if I were you, JB.  And maybe a radioactive protection jacket, like the ones at the dentist when they take x-rays.

I think this will still be a great edition - JB Omnibi are among the best as the artwork really sings in a larger format

I thinnk we really need a JB NAMOR Omnibus - that series would make for a great edition!!

I'll be getting this. A new cover by JB would have been nice though.

Oh, and still no single volume ALPHA FLIGHT collection?!?

I just "reached out" to Marvel to see if anything can be done about that cover. We'll see if there is any response. . . .

Where was that image originally published? I feel like I know, but can't access the memory right now!

It was a Bullpen page in the Eighties.

And if they'd ask you to do a cover? (stops, drops, and rolls…)

I might, if it saves some fans from disappointment.

As a fan, an accurate cover would be nice nowadays.

Tom Palmer actually makes his own zip now, and I've even done it myself a couple of times, to create a specific effect.

What goes in to making zip?
