Um, aren't we all on a database, somewhere? This is just more lunatic Republican rhetoric.

I don't disagree with either point. However, theoretically you could opt out of all databases now, certainly any religious database. Trump's proposal would make you a criminal if you were a muslim and you were not registered. Lunatic rhetoric, agreed, but neither morally acceptable nor the same as the current status quo, I would argue.

Edited to add: nor, in my opinion, something that coheres with your constitution.

Luckily for us there are these things called "checks and balances" that keep each branch of the Government from wielding enough power to do crazy, unconstitutional things. The President isn't a monarch or a dictator.

Are people on here seriously worried that The Donald or Dr. Narcolepsy are going to the nominee on the GOP side? They are a couple of Herman Cains and Howard Deans in the making. Let's get through Super Tuesday before we start to anoint anyone.

I figure, since Amazon knows everything about me, the NSA can't be far behind!

Except for gun owners. The NRA made sure of that.

"The President isn't a monarch or a dictator."

Not according to Fox News about President Obama.

But then again...in the next 'news' segment he is always feckless and weak.

So.....mixed signals to be sure.

JAMES REESE: Are people on here seriously worried that The Donald or Dr. Narcolepsy are going to the nominee on the GOP side?

It's funny how people, especially mainline Republicans, keep asking that question. All signs point to yes.

I dont see obama as weak. i just see a man who avoids arguments and
does not have an aggessive nature.

on the other hand i see his wife as a female lioness who will get in your face
if she is challenged. they say people marry their opposites.

Trump is not going to be the Republican nominee.  He currently has about 30% in a field of more than a dozen candidates.  That means 70% of those being polled do not like him.  Even if he can hold that 30% (which is hardly guaranteed) it's unlikely he will be able to add to it.  When the field narrows a majority of that 70% will coalesce around a viable candidate, likely Rubio.

Trump has announced he will most likely make an independent bid, if he does not get the Republican nod.

Trump running independent would certainly upset the apple cart.
