Slight tangent, received a card from the Steinway folk, from whom I bought my piano, saying they are having a Black Friday clearance. This is intriguing since they have a trade-in policy that takes back a purchased piano (assuming to to be in original condition) for its full price against a trade up.

I'd still love to have a baby grand, so it's tempting, but, alas, I have nowhere to put one! My living room is not crowded, but the "feng shui" was unbalanced by my upright, until I got used to it. A baby grand would be overwhelming!!

Here in Spain we've had our black Friday for a couple of years or so. It lasts three or four days. There is malicious gossip that stores raise their prizes a few days before so as to reduce them now.

I went to the mall and there were some good bargains, but the large numbers of bodies made it hard work. I'm bowled over at the amount of Star Wars goodies you can now buy. Chewbacca onesie? You got it. BB-8 piggy bank? We got it. Darth Vader oven glove? It exists.

I haven't cleared my e-mail "deleted items" since the 16th of November, of the 55 items, 29 are Black Friday related.

My understanding is that Boxing Day is still the biggest shopping day of the year in Canada. Been a while though.

It's really more like two people apologizing and insisting to each other, "No, you can have the last one, eh".
