What has Stern written with JB's art besides Captain America?

JB and Roger Stern collaborated on two of my favorites -- MARVEL: THE LOST GENERATION and JLA CLASSIFIED: "That Was Now, This is Then".

"JLA CLASSIFIED: "That Was Now, This is Then"."
...
Absolutely love that story, reread it recently. Stern & Byrne, that has a nice ring to it.
One of the last stories I read before my long hiatus from comics was a Storm and Black Panther team up by Claremont and JB. It was a short story but really stuck in my head.Had to look it up to see that Mcleod did the inks.

Stern. I loved the few Avengers/FF crossovers that they teamed-up.

Roger Stern for me as well. I wish his and JB's Captain America run had been much longer.
Shane Matlock wrote: It's a real shame that writers like Michelinie and Stern aren't getting much work these days because they were two of the finest writers Marvel had in the seventies and eighties respectively. Stern is still really good but I haven't seen anything from Michelinie in ages.
I think Michelinie's last credit was for Iron Man #258.1-258.4 in 2013, which tied into one of JB's issues.
Eric Jansen wrote: Most of my favorite writers from the 70's and 80's are gone, one way or another. A lot of the good ones moved into television or writing novels, while others seem to have quietly retired. (I can't find any info on what happened to Doug Moench or Don McGregor.)
Doug Moench hasn't had much published since Batman: Unseen in 2010, apart from a story in Treehouse of Horror #19 in 2013 and one in Creepy #15 in 2014. I see Doug will turn 70 this month. I would love to see him come back and write some more Aztec Ace, Electric Warrior or MOKF, but I doubt if they would be profitable in today's market. Don McGregor's last published credit seems to be for Zorro: Matanzas in 2010. I think he tried to get Kickstarter funding for a Sabre prequel drawn by Trevor Von Eeden a few years ago, without sufficient success I guess. I would like to read it if it ever gets off the ground. I also wish Marvel would commission P Craig Russell to draw Don's unpublished Killraven finale, Final Battles, Final Lies, Final Truths.
I don't recall Byrne working with Wein or Gerber--did he? JB worked with Wein on Untold Legend of the Batman #1 and Legends #1-6, which Len scripted over John Ostrander's plot.
Jason Larouse wrote: What has Stern written with JB's art besides Captain America? In additon to the comics already mentioned, they worked together on Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man #58 (One of my favourite Spider-Man comics despite Vince Colletta's inks), Amazing Spider-Man #206, Avengers #233 & Avengers Annual #14. Sterno also plotted or co-plotted Avengers #189-191.

I must have missed that one. And I'd forgotten all about Wein scripting Untold Legends of the Batman. And Legends for that matter.

JB has a way to make any writer look good. My favorite collaboration would be with Roger Stern.
I kinda think Len Wein has a way to make any artist look good, great writer. Seems to be getting more credit lately.

I long ago realized that if the art is bad, no amount of writing skill can save a comic for me.

Trying to get a little more specific:
JB has said it's hard to write a "fair" mystery/detective story. Who would this mystery writer be, (for Batman/Detctive comics) that JB could illustrate? To make it harder how about a writer who could do a years with of books.

Thanks for the update on Moench and McGregor, Colin! And I can't believe I forgot the two LEGENDS series! (A momentary lapse, I assure you!) And I didn't even know there WAS an unpublished Killraven finale! That would be awesome to see. (Just picked up the second volume of THE GRAVEYARD BOOK, adapted by P. Craig Russell--he gets better and better!)
