X-Men #132, page 16: Scott follows Jason Wyndgarde and Jean upstairs in the Hellfire Club, where Mastermind reveals himself, then Jean fries Scott, and the Black Queen is unveiled. Such a great page. When I was a kid I wished I had $300 to buy the original art.

It's hard to say it's my favorite since it was such an emotional gut punch at the time, but the few things got more reaction out of me that JB wrote and drew than the death of Guardian in Alpha Flight #12. That's great comics.

Thor destroying the tugboat thrown at him by The Living Monolith in Marvel Team-Up.

When you say "John Byrne art", that panel pops into my head.

Every time.

Not sure if classes as my favourite but the one that sticks to me the most is quite unglamorous. It was a panel from an Iron Fist issue, where Danny Rand is practicing and and the phone rings. He answers it while he is still training. It was just a speakerphone but I had never heard of such a thing and it absolutely thrilled me. The idea you could talk on a phone without using your hands was amazing to a kid using a rotary phone where you only needed four numbers to call anyone in the small town.

"Nathan I'm cold" I knew it mate !

My iconic scene is Colossus kind of armwrestling with Pierce and...breaking is collarbone ! And the whole X-Men quick victory switching "partners".

It's so minor but it really made me love Lois."Morning
wage slaves, what's news?""It'd be news if you didn't
walk in here and say that every morning."I am not sure
if that is the exact quote, I don't have the comic in
front of me but that moment really made me care about
the Daily Planet and the supporting characters in a way
I never could before.

My favorite JB scene is the cover to Superman #1.

It is the anti-#1 cover.  Nothing about "collector's 1st issue!" or "the first Superman #1 since 1940" or some cheesy pinup pose.

It was just a fallen Superman with the quote "this is your first issue and it might be your last."

That scene was pure genius and incomparable for a first issue cover!

GALACTUS FALLS!

That was the first thing that came to my mind! But this is another impossible question!

••

Quick Art Lesson: That is actually a BAD scene. Big shot of Thor and a swirling mass of. . .   something. No way to tell that it's a tugboat being destroyed. In visual storytelling, where virtually every panel should tell its own complete "story." that's really unforgivable.
